I think the word "Quiet" would best describe the life of ancient Celts in the West of Ireland. It's pretty quiet there now, but, try to imagine it with no traffic. Remove tractors, cars, jets, radios, hard surface roads, metal gates then add in a small population and you have a very quiet corner of Ireland.
